Peace Hills EMS is a full-time ALS service and as such is staffed with one
EMT and one paramedic on each ambulance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We
have two stations. One is in Wetaskiwin (just north of the Wetaskiwin
Hospital and Care Centre); the other is in the South Pigeon Lake Emergency
Services Complex as a part of the Village at Pigeon Lake. All our shifts
begin at 0800 HRS and are 24 hours long. There are three ambulances on call
in Wetaskiwin at all times and one at Pigeon Lake. Our current full-time
rotation consists of two(2) 24 hour shifts followed by four(4) days off.

Station 2
Both stations are equipped
with staff lounge areas as well as staff dorms, kitchens and showers, for
out-of-town staff to stay free of charge while on shift. Both stations also
are equipped with wireless high-speed internet and cable (stn 1) or satellite
(stn 2).
